Westlake basketball wins girls and boys titles

Premier Girls: Saint Kentigern College started strongly and held the lead for much of the game, but Westlake Girls High School (above) produced an incredible final-quarter comeback to take the win 63–60.

Premier Boys: At a packed Eventfinda Stadium Auckland Grammar School and Westlake Boys High School battled it out. With school chants filling the stands, Westlake Boys secured the 107–95 victory in a high-scoring and skilful contest.
The result caps off an unbeaten season and delivers Westlake’s first Auckland Championship title in 14 years.
